When it comes to successfully selling your gun online, there are a few things that you can do to increase the chances of selling.

Images

Making sure you have quality photos attached to your listing is one of the most important things you can do. We find that the general behaviour of most users is to first ‘window shop’ for the gun their looking for. Users will scroll down the list of guns that match their criteria and click through to a listing that has an image they feel fits their needs.

This means that if your listing has no images, you’re instantly at a disadvantage.

We recommend taking high-quality photos while ensuring your photos are of multiple angles. We allow 12 images per listing, so take advantage of this.

Description

The description is essentially the second chance you have of selling your gun. It’s common for people to submit a listing with lots of images but a brief description that doesn’t help potential buyers understand why they should go for your gun over others.

Take time to write out a thorough and detailed description.

Don’t be afraid to discuss any bad points of the gun. Buyers prefer honesty and if there’s a slight scuff, tell them about it. Show it in the images and mention it in the description.

Engage with Buyers

When submitting a listing, we allow you to enter a contact number and email for potential buyers to contact you on. When buyers contact you it’s important to engage and be as helpful as you can.

Try not to leave emails sitting in your inbox for days on end before you give a response.

Buyers can be impatient and if they don’t hear back from you in a reasonable time frame, may contact other gun listings and focus their attention on those. Don’t let a potential sale slip through your fingers at this stage.

Buyers may have questions that you simply don’t know the answers to. If this happens, don’t be afraid to be open and honest. Tell them that you don’t know the answer to the question but where possible, will try and find out.
